As the school year has come to an end and summer is here, we want to look back on some highlights from our 2021 – 2022 sport seasons and events!

Elementary

Our Athletic Director, Mr V, was a real hit at the elementary campus during the high school outreach week!

This year we had a lot of fun taking part in different events! Our favorite was when the High School campus came and taught some fun athletic games to our kinder through 6th graders. Mr Vucinich and a team of students showed them how to stretch out, play some team building games, and of course have some friendly competition.

We also got a new PE teacher here at the Mantelli Campus! Mr Ball has started teaching physical education to our elementary students and it’s safe to say, they all love having him around.

Junior High

In our Junior High Athletic department this year, we had a blast competing  against other schools and growing as leaders on and off the field. To kick off the year, we had flag football coached by Mr P. Not only was this team undefeated, but they won their league! Next we had girls soccer coached by Coach Hawkins and Coach Ray. This was an extra special season as it was the first time in over 3 years that PacPoint has has a soccer team! Not only was the team made up of our Junior High 7th & 8th graders, but we were able to bring over the 6th grade girls from the Mantelli campus to join the team too. We also had Junior High basketball for both girls and boys! Our boys team even won the San Benito Athletic League title! This year, we also had a great season for track & field coached by our Assistant Athletic Director, Mr Prettyman. We had multiple students place at the track meet where we competed against over six other schools! Lastly, Pacific Point is proud to offer E-Sports as an official sport! Taught and coached by Mrs Welch, students who have a passion for both sports and computers are able to combine them and participate with this fun team.

High School

We stayed busy here in the Pacheco sports department this year! Pacific Point Christian High School had six sports throughout the school year. Our school was able to offer girls volleyball, boys basketball, girls basketball, co-ed cross country, co-ed track & field, and E-Sports. Below are some honorable mentions from our high school sports!

Girls Volleyball coached by Miss Adams: Autumn Prettyman and Leia Guardiola were named second team.

Boys Basketball coached by Mr Vucinich: Wyatt Mattocks was named second all league.

Girls Basketball coached by Mr Prettyman: Now graduate, Danielle Gomez, was named 1st all league and Autumn Prettyman was named 2nd.

We also had the privilege of having both Track & Field and Cross Country coached by Mrs Prettyman!

Needless to say, it has been a great year for Pacific Point Christian and we cannot wait to see how the Lord builds our athletic program!

“Over this past year, we have seen our athletics program grow significantly in numerous ways. We have added new sports, revived old programs, won championships, and built lifelong connections. It is a great privilege for Pacific Point Christian to be able to build teams and provide opportunities for individual growth through group interaction. The most fulfilling aspect is having the ability to do all this while sharing a love for Christ and instilling biblical values through sport. We have been blessed to see over half of our student body compete in at least one sport, and we hope to see that number increase as we continue to look for more opportunities to serve our athletes.”
