Hello Lego Builders,

Welcome to Lego Tall and Strong. I am looking forward to working with your children.  We will be working with the Physics of Legos.  How do you build a tall building without it falling over?  How do you build something strong so that it doesn’t fall to pieces?  How do you make cars faster?  All these questions will be answered this week.  We will do a series of tests  on  our creations.  Please feel free to practice building tall and strong creations before you come to camp.  Do not bring them to camp.  They can rebuild them at camp.  These are our projects:

Monday-tallest building     Tuesday-strongest build     Wednesday-strongest bridge

Thursday-longest distance and fastest cars    Friday-simple machines

Please bring a snack on Monday.  Do not bring any snacks with nuts.  We have quite a few campers at school who have allergies.  I will be providing snacks the rest of the week.  The children will vote on what to have on Monday.  The only sure thing is that doughnuts will be provided on Friday.

Please bring your children to camp between 8:45-9:00.Camp starts at 9:00.  If you are a few minutes late, we will be in room 6.  Please pick up your children by 12:15. If the children are not picked up, they will be sent to extended care.   We will be having a grand finale, where all camps show what they did during the week.  It will be on Friday at 11:45.  Please make sure your children are wearing close-toed shoes.

Let’s get building,
