English 9 Credit Recovery 

Emphasizing basic grammar and writing skills, this course is an accelerated version of the English 9 class taught during the school year. Students will engage with a variety of literary works, from poems and short stories to a novel, examining each from a biblical worldview. In addition, they will also become proficient in the writing process, from crafting a thesis statement to revising and editing. Note: Students should expect to spend some time outside of class on reading assignments. 

 

World Literature (10th grade) Credit Recovery

Emphasizing grammar and writing skills, this course is an accelerated version of the tenth grade World Literature class taught during the school year. Students will engage with a variety of literary works, from short stories to a novel and a play, examining each from a biblical worldview. In addition, they will also practice a variety of analytical techniques and writing styles. Note: Students should expect to spend some time outside of class on reading assignments.

 

American Literature (11th grade) Credit Recovery

Emphasizing literature and analytical skills, this course is an accelerated version of the eleventh grade American Literature class taught during the school year. Students will engage with a variety of literary works from the 17th century through the Postmodern-era including short stories, a novel, and a play. In addition, they will also practice a variety of analytical techniques, vocabulary skills, and writing styles all while examining the works from a biblical worldview. Note: Students should expect to spend some time outside of class on reading assignments.

British Literature (12th grade) Credit Recovery

Emphasizing literature and analytical skills, this course is an accelerated version of the twelfth grade British Literature class taught during the school year. Students will engage with a variety of literary works from early writings like Beowulf to excerpts from the Postmodern 1984. In addition, they will also practice a variety of analytical techniques, vocabulary skills, and writing styles all while examining the works from a biblical worldview. Note: Students should expect to spend some time outside of class on reading assignments
