Fourth Grade

The fourth grade year is a time of transition from the primary grades to intermediate academics.  Students go from learning to read to reading to learn.  Academic independence is stressed in all subject areas in our Christian-based curriculum. Math is presented with increasing difficulty that builds on previously learned concepts. Another main area of study is California history (with an emphasis on the California Mission and the Gold Rush).

Extra curricular activities for fourth grade include weekly chapel, music, computer lab, library, computer lab and P.E. twice a week.

Field trips include Rock & Water 49er overnight camp in May each year.  When you combine the California Gold Rush, 4th graders and a Christian Camp the results are incredible!
