Comprehensive. Christ Centered. Student Focused.
In a move that dramatically expanded and enhanced our mission to provide the residents of Santa Clara, San Benito and Monterey counties with quality college preparatory Christian education programs, Pacific West Christian Academy and Anchorpoint Christian School have joined forces to become the new Pacific Point Christian Schools (Pac Point). Pac Point is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WASC), the same agency that accredits all public high schools, colleges and universities. Originally founded in 1995, Pacific Point Christian Schools is the culmination of years of prayer and planning by the pastors and congregation of South Valley Community Church. This strategic partnership enables us to offer a comprehensive, college preparatory curriculum serving a diversity of student learning needs in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment for preschool through high school aged students.
Same Great PreK and Elementary Programs
For our Pre-School and Elementary programs, only the name changed. Students and their families can expect the same faculty and curriculum that have set the standard for quality Christian Early Education in the local community since 1995. Providing a strong Biblical and academic foundation, the Pac Point PreK program (approx. ages 3-5) will continue to be offered on our Kelton Campus at South Valley Community Church; the Elementary program (Grades K-5) will remain at the original Mantelli Campus.
College Preparatory Junior High and High School
A dynamic new college preparatory Junior High and High School is located on a Pacheco Pass campus in Gilroy. Offering grades 6th through 12th, it greatly enhances the schools’ academic, athletic, extra-curricular and spiritual learning opportunities. The sprawling eight-acre campus features upgraded facilities, larger classrooms, a dedicated 100-seat chapel and stage, student café, student quad area, and recording studio. New athletic facilities include locker rooms, weight room, athletic fields and sports courts for football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, handball, basketball, track & field, and cheerleading.
Building On Our Strengths
This merger will help to ensure our ability to deliver on our mission. On each of our three campuses, Pacific Point Christian Schools will strive to help students discover God’s purpose for their lives and to fulfill their God-given potential in school and in life by providing quality Christian school programs. It will provide the resources to better serve a diversity of student learning needs – all in an exceptionally positive, Christ-centered learning community focused on individual student success. Upgraded facilities and small classes will allow for ample individual student attention and enhance the strong parent-teacher partnerships for which all our schools are prized.
